The Waterproofer will have knowledge and experience using air & moisture barrier applications, joint sealants, traffic coating systems, water repellents, air/vapor barrier waterproofing systems, below-grade mechanically fastened, self-adhered, and fluid applied. Knowledge of different types of waterproofing materials. He or she will be responsible for the installation of waterproofing systems on new construction projects, as well as the repair of existing waterproofing systems. The Waterproofer installs joint sealant (expansion, contraction, and control joints) in interior and exterior applications with silicone, urethane, and acrylic based sealants. The candidate must be able to work independently as well as with others and be able to take direction from the Lead/Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Application: Apply waterproofing materials using various application methods, including spray, brush, roller, or trowel, ensuring uniform and effective coverage.
- Quality Control: Inspect work areas for defects in substrates and deficiencies in waterproofing, making necessary repairs and adjustments to ensure a watertight seal.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other construction professionals, including but not limited to General Contractors and Subcontractors to coordinate waterproofing efforts within the overall construction project.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and address any waterproofing-related challenges that may arise during the project.
- Cleanup: Clean and organize work areas after completing waterproofing tasks, ensuring the site is left in a safe and tidy condition.
- Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in waterproofing or a related field.
- Skills: Proficient in surface preparation, material application, and waterproofing techniques. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work with and safely operate various power tools and equipment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and working at heights.
- Team Player: Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a diverse team of professionals. Ability to coordinate with and take direction from company Project Manager and Production Manager.
- Reliability: Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential. Willing to travel out of area.

- The schedule is Monday - Thursday, 7:00am-5:30pm (Hours may vary as they are subject to change as needed, but this is the standard day-to-day schedule).
- 4 day work weeks.

Our History:
Kaminski Construction was born in 2008 at the beginning of the Great Recession. We landed our first job and began to grow, as other construction companies were laying workers off. We have continued to grow and expand our services and now field a crew of about 50 employees.
