Kaminski Construction is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Waterproofing Superintendent to lead our growing waterproofing division. This is a high-impact role for a field-proven expert who understands the complexities of commercial and residential waterproofing and is ready to lead crews, manage scopes, and drive high-quality execution on every project.
About the Role:
As our Waterproofing Superintendent, you'll oversee the full scope of waterproofing activitiesfrom air barrier and below-grade waterproofing to liquid- and sheet-applied membranes, deck coatings, sealants, and water repellents. You'll manage daily operations in the field, coordinate with project teams, and uphold our standards for quality, safety, and schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct daily field activities of waterproofing crews
- Manage and coordinate all waterproofing scopes including:
- Below-grade foundation systems (sheet and fluid-applied)
- Above-grade air barriers
- Roof deck and balcony waterproofing
- Expansion joint and joint sealant installations
- Flashing, damp-proofing, and water repellent applications
- Ensure proper installation methods and manufacturer specifications are followed
- Review drawings and specifications to ensure scope alignment and constructability
- Proactively identify and resolve field conflicts and coordination issues
- Coordinate with General Superintendents, Project Managers, and subcontractors
- Track material usage, delivery needs, and labor productivity
- Train, mentor, and support waterproofing foremen and installers
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on waterproofing experience with commercial and/or multi-family projects
- 2+ years in a leadership role such as Foreman, Lead Installer, or Superintendent
- Strong knowledge of waterproofing materials, details, and manufacturers (e.g., Henry, Tremco, Carlisle, Sika)
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents, waterproofing details, and shop drawings
- Proven experience managing crews, schedules, and jobsite coordination
- Excellent communication and field leadership skills
- Driver's license with clean record; ability to travel to local job sites
Salary:
- $30 - $40 per hour, Depending on experience.

- The schedule is Monday - Thursday, 7:00am-5:30pm (Hours may vary as they are subject to change as needed, but this is the standard day-to-day schedule)
